The Sun has been pretty bold here, leading their football coverage this morning with the claim that ‘LIVERPOOL have agreed an £8million fee for Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm.’
Why do they always have the first word of the first paragraph in bold?
More relevantly, Liverpool have supposedly been ‘finalising plans for the 24-year-old’s summer switch to Merseyside on a five-year, £40,000-a-week deal’.
Off the top of our head, it’s hard to think of a foreign player who’s been linked with more English clubs than Elm, so if this is true, at least it would mark an end to the rumour-mongering.
