Newcastle rumoured to be pursuing Eljero Elia on loan

Careful, this is via the Daily Mail. Reputation for truth-telling? Not exactly 100%.

Apparently, Newcastle were interested in the Dutch winger Eljero Elia in the Summer, but the player opted for a move to Serie A and Juventus instead. Unfortunately though, the move hasn’t exactly gone to plan – Elia has made only two appearances for Juve since the move – and the Mail reasons that he could now be available for loan.

Well, I’ve heard more unrealistic rumours…
