New shirts, new season, new optimism…
Hopefully.
Villa have released their new home and away shirts for the upcoming seaason, and it’s the first effort from new kit supplier Macron.
It’s nice, well the home kit is at least – good colour, good design, very classy.
That being said, the design on the Shay Given’s goalkeeping jersey is a little suspect – random hexagons are always a bit hit-and-miss, even if the green colour fits in with the retro-classic feel.
The away kit? Well, manufacturers get a hall-pass here, because there are only so many different things that you can do to justify releasing a new edition. So, Macron have gone for a nice little ‘lime cordial’ shade.
It is what it is.
