Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign German international Marko Marin from Werder Bremen today, and that should be the cause of huge excitement at Stamford Bridge.
I’m sure the press will look to compare him to Luka Modric, because seemingly every player in the world has to have a Premier League equivalent, but ignore that – they’re different players. The German is most comfortable drifting in from the left-hand side, so expect a bit of a reshuffle of Chelsea’s forward line.
We’ll leave the discussion of who exactly is making the transfer decisions at Stamford Bridge for another day, and instead you can have some video of Marin. A fantastic player in the making, and a great signing. No idea about the fee as of yet, but who cares really – another asset for the Premier League.
