EPL News 24/7This has come out of left-field a bit, as we all just assumed that Craig Bellamy would be joining Cardiff after the Olympics.
Not so, according to The Sun, who think the Welsh international is headed for Loftus Road and a reunion with Mark Hughes.
It’s from The Sun, so the usual disclaimers regarding fabrication and hearsay exist, but Hughes is obviously an admirer of the forward and if he was allowed to leave Liverpool would probably be interested. Arguably, Bellamy also played some of the best football of his career under him at Blackburn between 2005 and 2006, so there would be some interest on his side too.
Don’t expect much to happen with this for a while though, Bellamy is obviously involved with London 2012 now, and any decisions regarding his future would surely be made after Great Britain’s involvement comes to an end.
