There are few journalists working in the media today whose output is as consistently poor as Antony Kastrinakis’ – he, by the way, was the journalist shunned by Mario Balotelli at the former Manchester City’s introductory press-conference at AC Milan.
Anyway, Kastrinakis claims in his Sun column today that Chelsea will look to reignite their interest in Andre Schurrle and are willing to – sigh – offer Kevin De Bruyne in part-exchange for the Leverkusen winger.
Maybe there should be a blanket ban on the term ‘part-exchange’ in transfer rumours, because it’s always a red flag as to their inaccuracy and, generally, their fabrication.
This story is just a rehash of a rumour which did the rounds last Summer, and there’s very little reason to believe that Chelsea would be willing to trade someone of De Bruyne’s potential in for Schurrle – especially before the Belgian has even played a competitive game for the club.
