Maybe this would have been shocking three years ago, and maybe it’s still a little unpalatable for Arsenal and Tottenham fans, but William Gallas is undergoing a medical in North London this morning ahead of signing a one-year deal. 32 years old he may be, but Gallas will bolster Harry Redknapp’s fragile defence just through […]

Bizarre story coming from the Daily Mirror this morning, as they claim that perennial underachiever Jermain Jenas is ‘set for’ a move to Juventus. Quotes from the player… None. Quotes from Juve manager Luigi Del Neri… None. Quotes from an agent… None. Rock solid journalism. Still, apparently Jenas’ style would be better received in Italy […]

News that is as appealing as the Colin Montgomery sex-scandal now – Mario Balotelli will complete his move to Manchester City in the next 48 hours. Enough inches have already been dedicated to ‘Super Mario’ in this corner of the internet, so we’ll just stand-by everything we’ve said about him, and his agent, and wait […]

Ireland ‘greed’ stalls Milner move.

Slightly bold move for a makeweight… The James Milner transfer did not go through as expected last night…because Stephen Ireland is refusing to leave $ity without a £2million golden handshake. This of course is the same Stephen Ireland who fabricated his Grandmother’s death to avoid International duty, wore a hairpiece for the 2008/2009 season, and […]

Hugely underwhelming transfer news from Anfield… Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones has joined Liverpool for £2.5 Million. With Jose Reina and Diego Cavalieri firmly established at one and two in the pecking order, this seems to be little more than a charitable donation to a struggling Championship side.

Milner/Ireland to trade places today

The most tedious transfer story of the summer to be concluded this evening, as James Milner and Stephen Ireland swap clubs. Thank God that’s over….

Sir Alex Ferguson has dipped into the transfer market for 20 year-old Portuguese forward Bebe from Vitoria Guimaraes. Bebe will undergo a medical at Carrington this afternoon before completing the transfer. Bebe, or Tiago Manuel Dias Correia, is an unknown quantity to us – although apparently he’s ‘strong and direct’. Who Knows.

Spurs new boy Sandro to arrive in London next week.

Harry Redknapp’s lone summer signing Sandro will arrive in London on the 20th August. The condition of the transfer was always that the Brazilian international would only leave Internacional once the Brazilian club’s participation in the Copa Libertadores was at an end. At last that moment is upon us – the final is due to […]

Ramires to have Chelsea medical

Think a younger, more athletic, extra dimensional Gilberto Silva, and that’s what Chelsea have spent £17million on in Benfica’s Ramires – subject to a medical. John Obi Mikel, your Chelsea career is over – every team in Europe will want this guy in 2 years time.

Ben-Haim set to confirm West Ham move

West Ham are on the verge of adding to their ranks with the former Bolton, Chelsea and Portsmouth defender. With plenty of Premier League experience, the Israeli international would be an astute purchase for Avram Grant – alleviating the fear of having to rely too heavily on underdone youth players in important positions, a situation […]
