Manchester United, Manchester City, and the ‘new Luka Modric’

The Premier League Owl

Alen Halilovic is quite unlucky, because looking the way he does there was only ever going to be one player who he was compared to. Floppy light brown hair, pointy features, small in stature, technically astute, and Croatian.

He must be the ‘new Luka Modric’. Have fun living-up to that billing.

Anyway, The Mail seem fairly convinced that both Manchester clubs retain an interest in the 16 year-old, and insist that City sent a ‘three man delegation’ to Dinamo Zagreb to begin negotiations. Apparently, by doing that they hope to ‘head off’ interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, and their near neighbours.

Yup, because that’s how transfers work…

There’s really no way of knowing whether there’s any truth whatsoever to any of this, but here’s some video… it’s obvious fairly quickly that they Modric-chat isn’t just about physical appearance…
