What’s top of the wish list for every Arsenal fan at the moment? A fully-developed players at the top of their game, or yet another ‘promising’ youngster who will make a handful of league cup appearances and then move to a second-tier club?
Who knows – but Arsenal are being linked with a move for Crewe forward Max Clayton – but only by The Metro.
Supposedly the club have been watching the eighteen year-old, although Alex manager Steve Davis has been a little terse on the subject of the teenager’s departure:
I’ve had no inquiries about Max, only people watching, so it’s only a rumour. He’s not ready to go anywhere. When the situation is right he will leave to go in somebody’s first team.
